Serving Older Adults in the Local Community

About Us

AARP's local chapter serves and supports adults in our community through monthly meetings that foster connections, learning, and engaging activities. We offer various programs, events, and travel opportunities to promote healthy aging and meaningful social connections. We meet monthly September to April, with meals in Dec and May. We have an interesting variety of speakers at the meetings, and provide opportunities to travel with us both locally and internationally.

Our next meeting will at the Vasco Da Gama Hall. The speaker will be from the Aquidneck Village Common, a volunteer project to help older adults continue to enjoy active, independent and engaged lives in their own homes based on the concept of neighbors helping neighbors - getting to medical appointments, running errands, shopping, doing minor household repairs, using technology, finding opportunities for social interaction. All AARP members are welcome to come join us. Refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting.

Luncheon cost: $40.00 per person. paid in advance**

Limit of 70 people, first come first served. (Sorry - no wait list or walk-ins)

CASH BAR AVAILABLE IN THE LOUNGE ONLY.

Coffee and tea are included at the table.
