Monday 16th - Members meeting. 1:30 PM at the Vasco Da Gamma Hall (Fenner hall), 15 Fenner Ave, Newport RI. The speaker will talk about slavery in Newport: Charles Roberts, Historian and Founder of the RI Slave History Medallion Project and RIBHM walking tours to share the stories and Newport’s history. His family has lived in Newport over 200 years. Several years ago, he discovered Newport’s vast and significant role in the history of slavery.

The speaker will talk about cyber security: Erine Lewis is the Risk Management Officer for Peoples Credit Union. He will discuss the latest Cyber Security Scams targeting Seniors online and on your mobile phone. Pros & cons of using mobile phone digital coupons (now seen in grocery stores) …and more.

Monday 18th - Members meeting. 1:30 PM at the Vasco Da Gamma Hall (Fenner hall), 15 Fenner Ave, Newport RI. The speaker will talk about The Aquidneck Village Common: Speaker Co-chairs Mary Alice Smith and Kathleen Burke. The Village Common is volunteer project to help older adults continue to enjoy active, independent and engaged lives in their own homes. Neighbors helping neighbors - getting to medical appointments, running errands, shopping, doing minor household repairs, using technology, finding opportunities for social interaction.
